Privacy Policy
Doodloop (“Doodloop”, “we”, “us”) is a local multiplayer party game for iPhone. This policy explains what information the app handles and what it does not.
Summary
Doodloop does not require an account, does not sell personal data, and does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Gameplay stays on your devices and on the local network between nearby phones. Completed rounds you play are saved locally for History.
Information we process
- Profile on device — your display name and avatar drawing are stored locally (on-device preferences / app storage).
- Game drawings and guesses — content you create during a round is kept on the participating phones for that session and may be saved into local History when a round ends.
- Local network play — when you host or join a lobby, nearby devices exchange game state over your local network (Wi‑Fi / Personal Hotspot) using Bonjour discovery. Hosts share a short join code verbally so only invited nearby phones can enter. That traffic stays on the local network; we do not operate a cloud game server that stores your rounds.
- Exports — if you save or share a drawing (for example to Photos), it leaves the app only when you use the system share / save flows.
Information we do not collect
- No account registration or login.
- No location tracking beyond local-network discovery for play.
- No advertising identifiers used for ads.
- No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs from us.
- No contact list or microphone access for tracking.
Permissions
- Local Network — so phones in the same room can find each other and sync the game.
- Photo Library (add only) — only if you choose to save an exported drawing to Photos.
Apple and the operating system
Apple may collect diagnostic or usage information according to your device settings and Apple’s own privacy policy (for example if you have opted in to Share iPhone Analytics or App Store diagnostics). That processing is controlled by Apple, not by Doodloop.
Children
Doodloop does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because drawings and history stay on device (and local network peers during play) and we do not operate accounts or analytics, the app is suitable for general audiences under App Store guidelines. Parents should supervise local multiplayer as they would any shared-device activity.
Changes
We may update this policy if the app’s behaviour changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
